Ise got TWO awards today!!! Two! All in one day! Ise a very happy and proud Meezer right now!
My first award was from the gorgeous and handsome Dragonheart! It is the "I Love Your Blog Award". I would like to pass this award on to Henry Helton, Latte The Meezer and Brainball at The Ballicus Blog:
My second award is from the lovely, adorable and kind Caeser and Princess, it is the "Sweet Award" . I would like to give this back to Caeser and Princess but I reckon they must have had it fifty trillion times by now so i'se gonna give it to Samantha and Tigger, The Furry Kids and my buddies over at House of The (Mostly) Black Cats:
Me and Castle are doing well - i'm still doing a sick-up every now and then, yesterday's was a gorging one - I pigged right out then paid the price almost immediately, Meowmie should have been monitoring me but she was busy and forgot to make sure i didn't over-eat. I did a liquid sick too the other day, but that has been about it really. Maybe this catfish stuff is working? I really hope I get to eat chicken again some day though! Castle is back to his old self, the anti-biotics seem to be working and he is now eating the dry food with me again so mealtimes are a little easier to manager for Meowmie.
Ise reckon though that I'se gonna get dragged along to the Vet Place next week - Castle has to have a check-up so I am sure Meowmie will take me along too, in the hope that Ben Vet will do a quick freebie check-up on me and to ask him bout maintenance chemo protocols.
Have a good weekend!!

Thirteen Ghosts
To get us the mood for Halloween I am going to tell you about thirteen ghosts that live within half a mile of me!
My Meowmie and me lives in one of the oldest parts of London, the very centre of our Capital City so unsurprisngly there is a very high density of weird things here!
The Cock Lane Ghost
20 Cock Lane - No longer standing, this building was plagued by an outbreak of internationally famous poltergeist activity that centred itself around a young child in the household, Elizabeth Parsons and a ghost called 'Scratching Fanny'.
Burning Martyrs
Smithfield - The location where a total of 277 Protestants were once burnt alive for their beliefs, some have reported hearing their cries and screams late at night. Less fortunate people have also reported the smell of burning flesh.
Headless Duke
Charterhouse - A couple of ghosts are said to exist here. The Duke of Norfolk, who spent much of his time and money here, lost his head after upsetting Queen Elizabeth and now ascends the staircase of the great hall. Outside the buildings, a monk has been seen flitting between the courtyards of Washhouse and Masters.
Anne Naylor
Farringdon Tube Station - The odd screams that have been heard in this area are attributed to Naylor, thirteen year old girl who was murdered on this site in the mid eighteenth century. She is now referred to as 'the Screaming Spectre'.
Black-Winged Creature
Old Chambers, Lincoln's Inn - Charles Appleby was found dead in his room here, large claw marks on his arms and neck, the door and windows locked from the inside. Witnesses outside the building who could see into his room through a window said they could see the man fighting a shadowy bird like creature, though it was at least the same size as Appleby. Reports of the creature continued for a while afterwards, and one team of investigators who put down chalk dust during their stakeout recording finding large claw marks in the powder the following day
Victorian Lady
House of Detention - The apparition of a lady in a Victorian dress has been reported walking in the area of the building (what is left of it), while phantom footsteps and the soft crying of a lost child have also been reported
Horned Figure
Smithfield Meat Market - This phantom figure was said to have danced over meat stalls while angry butchers and meat merchants tried to stab at it, striking only thin air.
Rahere
St Batholomew's Church - This pious monk, who doubled as a jester in Henry I's court, is thought to be the man who built the church, and has been reported standing by the alter. He quickly disappears if seen.
Figure in Photo
St Botolph's Church - An old Victorian lady, appearing in a photograph taken by Mr Chris Brackley, the image bore up to intense scrutiny. Mr Brackley was later contacted by a builder who recognised the face as one that he had seen in a coffin in the church. Ise found the photo too! The first one is the complete photo, take a look at the balcony to the top right of the image, there is a lady in old fashioned clothes standing there! The second picture is a zoom-in and shows the old lady better!

Red Haired Man
Sutton Arms Pub - This smiling entity materialises only for a couple of seconds at a time, before vanishing as quickly as he appears.
Grimaldi The Clown
Sadler's Wells Theatre - Once seen sitting in one of the boxes (which no longer exist), Jo Grimaldi is still seen wearing his clown makeup, almost 200 years since his death.
Dick O'Shea
Ye Old Red Cow Pub - Shortly after his death, the former landlord O'Shea would be seen sitting in the upper part of the public house, looking down at the drinkers below. His visits lasted only a year before he departed forever.
Hospital Visitor
Private home in Red Lion Square - A female guest at her friend's small flat was woken by another girl who wanted to know why her bed was occupied. The guest apologised and explained that she was invited, after which the girl left the room and the guest fell back asleep. The following morning she mentioned the incident to her friend - he paled and explained his flatmate who normally slept there was in hospital after a suicide attempt. They later discovered the girl had died during the night.
I should have listed the old Newgate Prison and Gallows, the site of that is close to our home too - but that site has SO MANY ghosts I don't fink there is enough room on the Internets to list them all!!!
I hope I have gotten you in the mood for Halloween! My Meowmie says that a lot of pubs have ghosts for some strange reason...she said that these ghosts tend to be wobbly and are only seen very late at night. I don't think I will go to any pubs - I really don't understand why Beans like going to pubs so much. Weird!!!

How To Make Mummy Happy
Firstly Ise gonna tell you that Castle is doing OK! He had a rough weekend cos the antibiotics he was on (Antirobe) made him do sick-ups, so he has now changed to Clavaseptin and so far so good. Weez still trying to eat each other's food and I have RUINED my exclusion diet cos I managed to get hold of some of Castle's dinner on Sunday hahahaha...now Meowmie has to start again!
My sick-ups have been a little less in frequency too, but they are still happening. I know Meowmie gets very worried my lymphoma thing is coming back and then she starts questioning whether I should be on some sort of maintenance chemo programme cos some kitties do 52 week chemo protocols whereas I did 26 week protocol...but the longer the protocol the more chance of damaging other organs in the body - however, the immediate concern is the lymphoma returning and to be honest that is more likely to happen first than damage to other organs. I fink she might ask the vet again bout maintenance protocols, just to be sure she is doing the right thing by me. However, my last two chemo treatments did hit me hard so I am not sure I can take too much of it. We still have the COP protocol up our sleeve for when the stoopid lymphoma comes back.
When Meowmie is concerned I know how to make her happy - I EAT! I eat like a horse and dance around her when she goes near the fridge or cupboards. I open the cupboards too - I do this when she is at her work place making Vet Tokens, so when she comes home all her cupboards are open. I have a funny way of eating - I refuse to put my head in the food bowl (only for wet food) so I pick out morsels one by one very carefully. I never leave a morsel on the floor - I always eat every teeny bit I pull out of the bowl, even if they end up in awkward places i.e. almost uner the bowl or just under the fridge! I fink I learned to eat like this as a kitten cos Castle used to stick his greedy big head RIGHT in the bowl so there was no room for me - so I had to slip my paw under his chin and pull morsels out in order to get my fair share! Here is a little movie of me eating my foods one-by-one - my Meowmie smiles when I eat so a note to all my furrends: THE MORE YOU EAT THE HAPPIER THE BEAN!
PS - the Chinese bowl I am eating from is almost as old as me! Me and Castle usually share it but cos we are on different diets shared feeding times and food sharing is not back on the agenda for another 3 or 4 days. Even though I have to use my paw to eat cos of greedy-pants Castle hogging the bowl, I miss eating with him and will be happier when things are back to normal.

Fangless Friday
Hehehe well, not quite fangless but definitely toofless - but I couldn't wait until Toofless Tuesday to post an update! Castle had to have FIVE back/side teefs removed!!! Poor boy! You see, after they scaled and polished them they found four more that were candidates for removal, in addition to the one he went in for. I guess this is what happens when you get old. I lost all mine when I was a baby cos i had a bad case of gingivitis so I know how Castle feels. Castle was all wobbly when he got home and a bit out of it, Meowmie took a photo of him looking spaced and will post it another time, he looks so funny! I missed him and meowed like crazy when he got back from seeing Ben vet.
Meowmie had fun serving up our breakfast this morning cos Castle is now only to eat soft foods for a week and I of course am on the dry food ONLY cos of my exclusion diet. Mum served up our bowls and we both went for each other's food - Meowmie then had to lock us in seperate rooms whilst we ate, but we both meowed for each other and wouldn't eat! After much to-ing and fro-ing Meowmie managed to get some breakfast down each of us - but it took 40 minutes of herding us around so Meowmie was late for work! Hahahahaha.
I'm doing OK on the diet - I am still being sick BUT not as frequently as before (not counting the food-only gorge-sicks which Meowmie classifies as different sicks to the mostly-liquidy sicks I was doing 4 or 5 hours after eating - too much info? sorry!). I am on this diet for 6 weeks - cos that is how long it will take to see if it makes a real difference apparently.
Changing the subject now cos that last one is not very nice, Yao-Lin tagged me for the Desktop MeMe. The top image is my Meowmie's work PC desktop, it is a picture of Maragret Thatcher receiving a gift of garlic from some garlic sellers in Budapest (knoblauch = garlic in German). Meowmie saw this picture above a garlic seller's stand in a market in Budapest and thought it was very fuuny. Can you see how Thatcher recoils at the garlic??? I wonder why...the second picture is the desktop on my Mac (Whose Mac, Stormie? - Meowmie) it is Castle's eye!

Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Here’s how you can do a screen capture:
1.Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
2.Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image before saving it.
3.Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
4.Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well. I tag: Pets Pictures and Tails, Tiger Lily, Latte, Samantha & Tigger
5.Add your name to the list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants. Wordy Wednesday
Just a quickie today cos Meowmie is lazy doing something called 'work' to earn the Salmon Tokens.
Firstly, Ise been doing OK on my new food - I have been sick three times since last Wednesday, which is not bad actually. The sicks were a result of gorging too much at once (catfish is LUSH!), the sick-ups happened pretty much within the hour of stuffing my face - basically giving the dry food just enough time to expand and over-fill my teeny damaged tummy! Mum is hating the catfish puke though, hehehehehe. Mind you it is no wonder my tummy gets so full so quickly, those catfish are big aren't they???
Secondly, Castle is off to the Vet Place tomorrow for his toof extraction so please send him some purrs and love. I will miss him very much, I've never been on my own at home before!!! Ise hope I will be OK!
Thirdly, to those interested, tomorrow is Blog For Burma Day. Ise know we are not really a political bunch - apart from those running for President - but I think you don't have to be 'into' politics to do this so please show support for those poor people being terorised by the military junta. It is hoped that as many Bloggers as possible will dedicate tomorrow's blog post to Burma. You can find more information here: FREE BURMA
Fourthly, thanks for all the kind wishes for Peggy. In case you were wondering, Angus told me that he didn't want to press charges against the dog or the owner. He said there was no point in punishing the dog cos it was just 'being a dog' and he said that if he punished the owner (who is ultimately to blame) he would be worried about repercussions.

My Neighbour, Peggy
This is Peggy, she died yesterday after being mauled by a dog. This made my Meowmie very very sad cos Peggy was a special cat, so Meowmie has asked me to tell you about my neighbour Peggy...
Peggy lived with her bean called Angus. Angus is a very 'local' character, he is a modern-day rag-and-bone man, he wanders the City Of London collecting mostly metal scrap and selling it on to make a living. Angus is mostly sober but occassionally he likes to have a drink, and he can get merry at times but he is not a nasty drunk or vicious in anyway, just a jolly chap, living his life and making money in the way he knows best. He lives in the flat at the bottom of Meowmie's block, he has a lovely garden at the front and back of his home which he tends to and fills with lovely plants he finds discarded at the famous weekly flower market in Columbia Road.
Angus LOVES cats, he adores them, but he used to be quite irresponsible. He had three female cats (all ex-feral) who had not had their lulus done so they kept having kittens, litter after litter after litter, Meowmie and other people used to help him find homes for the kittens and they kept telling Angus to get the girl's lulus done. Peggy came from one of these litters. Not sure how it happened, but Peggy ended up with three legs - hence the name Peg-Leg aka Peggy. Angus told Meowmie that Peggy's own mum chewed one of her back legs off when she was born! YIKES!!! Angus could not bear to part with Peggy so he kept her but found homes for the rest of the litter.
Shortly after Peggy was born Angus received some advice from the RSPCA about responsible pet ownership and they arranged for all his cats to have their lulus done so they wouldn't have anymore kittens! Angus loved Peggy very much, she was his favourite cat out of the four. He brushed her every morning and talked to her and loved her. Peggy was also the most outgoing of his four near-feral cats and the only one who would approach Beans, albeit very timidly, for a headbutt or two.
Peggy could always be found in Angus's front garden, somehow balancing on the fence with her three legs, looking pretty - or sitting in the flower beds opposite Angus's flat, watching the birds. She never wandered far and was always within a wobbly lop-sided scamper of her garden and front door. It seems though, that yesterday she didn't make it back to her garden of safety but instead went to the Rainbow Bridge...Ise never got to meet Peggy but my Meowmie said she was adorable. Bye bye Peggy xxx
