Scan Results and a New Medicine

Ise home...and Ben Vet couldn't find anything untoward, everything looked as it should, all my vitals were good and he said my fur and skin were in great condition...so he still considers me to be in remission (although he did state that an ultrasound can only pick up so much and would not detect a few dodgy cells hanging around - but a few dodgy cells wouldn't cause me to vomit like I have been so he is fairly confident it is nothing sinister). He thinks my tummy-sick-ups are a result of reduced motility through my gut - probably due to scar tissue, crevices, damaged stomach lining etc caused by the chemo blasting the tumour.

ANOTHER new medicine for my cupboard: Ben Vet has given Meowmie some Zantac injections for the times when I get pukey - they will help settle my tummy, they also help get the food moving through me and can also help with any constipation (which also causes vomitting and I did suffer from that last year). I didn't get on with Zantac when it was given orally so hopefully the injection will be much more agreeable.

As I was leaving the Vet Place a lady who was a customer of the Vet Place came in with a box in her arms, she asked my Meowmie and the Vet Place staff if they wanted to see her stuffed cat, she had just collected it from the Stuffing Place - of coure they all said yes, so the lady got out her cat (Dushka) and let everyone stroke it. It was very well stuffed but I don't want that done to me. After everyone had admired Dushka the lady then asked if everyone would like to see Dushka's brain!!!! She then produced a jar with a brain bobbing around in it!!! SCREAM!!!! Thankfully Stormie's Limousine arrived and we left before it got anymore gruesome.

I am now home, I STINK of surgical spirit, my tummy is shaved and looks like a plucked chicken again - but I don't care about that cos Meowmie J came to the Vet Place to see me and collect me, the lovely nurses gave me a neckerchief and it seems my lymphoma hasn't come back yet.

Today was a GOOD day, thank you for your support. Here it is in pictures, first picture is me in my carrier and I am very pissed off, second picture is my tummy scan, you can see all the folds of my tum, third picture is just me looking very pretty (look at my four beautiful whiskers!) and the foruth picture is me washing the surgical spirit away from my tummy:

Well at least I get to leave on that GOOD NEWS. YEAH STORM!

You have a fine fine pink tummy. You look great inspite of the vet's best efforts.

Sounds like a positive visit to the vet. I hope that the Zantac injections work better for you. No one likes puking.

Dear Storm, Eventhough... you look just wonderful in these last photos and we are so pleased to hear about your horrible adventure. Now give yourself a nice kitty bath and drink enough and have a good rest.

We have been purring for you

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray for you! Remission is something very GOOD. I am excited and happy to learn this news. It is interesting to see inside your tummy. I think I might see a Temptation in there.

You look gorgeous in your neckerchief. I think pink is your color! I like how you are smiling for the camera, too.

ps: I do not want to be stuffed, either. I want to become ashes, and then be sprinkled on some pretty pink flowers.

I'm glad that the bad cancer is in remission! I hope your new medicine helps you with the barfies. You still look lovely and glamorous, despite all of your traumas. Momma says you remind her of Liz Taylor. And you look great in pink!

Yay! Remission continues! I couldn't imagine having to give injections to my three! I had to give Sebastian pills one time and it almost killed us both - and he's fairly easy going! Stay strong!

I am sorry that you had to have your tummy shaved again when your fur was just growing in again. It's worth it to find out that you are still in remission, though. Yay! I hope the Zantac helps you get rid of those nasty barfing episodes.

I'm glad to hear that nothing showed up on the scan. I hope that the Zantac helps your tummy.

It's funny that you asked if I'm a Meezer is disguise. My dam is a blue point Sphynx, which means that there are Siamese somewhere in my family tree, since all the pointed Sphynx came about by crossing Sphynx with Siamese!

What a gorgeous pink neckerchief the vet gave you! We're so glad that you are in remission. And we really hope that the Zantac injections work for your tummy sick-ups.

Now, as for the stuffed cat and the bobbing brain, Maw is just horrified. That is beyond weird. We shall be ashes. None of that stuffed stuff for us, or bobbing brains. OMG!!!!

YEAH!!! Horray!!!
Our momma says the zantec actually made her have sickups...she thinks her body is weird cause it does the opposite, zantec and/or prilosec gives her heartburn instead of healing it...lol.

On a positives note, me and my siblings are having a noncontest contest...stops into our bloggie soon!!!
