How To Make Mummy Happy

Firstly Ise gonna tell you that Castle is doing OK! He had a rough weekend cos the antibiotics he was on (Antirobe) made him do sick-ups, so he has now changed to Clavaseptin and so far so good. Weez still trying to eat each other's food and I have RUINED my exclusion diet cos I managed to get hold of some of Castle's dinner on Sunday hahahaha...now Meowmie has to start again!

My sick-ups have been a little less in frequency too, but they are still happening. I know Meowmie gets very worried my lymphoma thing is coming back and then she starts questioning whether I should be on some sort of maintenance chemo programme cos some kitties do 52 week chemo protocols whereas I did 26 week protocol...but the longer the protocol the more chance of damaging other organs in the body - however, the immediate concern is the lymphoma returning and to be honest that is more likely to happen first than damage to other organs. I fink she might ask the vet again bout maintenance protocols, just to be sure she is doing the right thing by me. However, my last two chemo treatments did hit me hard so I am not sure I can take too much of it. We still have the COP protocol up our sleeve for when the stoopid lymphoma comes back.

When Meowmie is concerned I know how to make her happy - I EAT! I eat like a horse and dance around her when she goes near the fridge or cupboards. I open the cupboards too - I do this when she is at her work place making Vet Tokens, so when she comes home all her cupboards are open. I have a funny way of eating - I refuse to put my head in the food bowl (only for wet food) so I pick out morsels one by one very carefully. I never leave a morsel on the floor - I always eat every teeny bit I pull out of the bowl, even if they end up in awkward places i.e. almost uner the bowl or just under the fridge! I fink I learned to eat like this as a kitten cos Castle used to stick his greedy big head RIGHT in the bowl so there was no room for me - so I had to slip my paw under his chin and pull morsels out in order to get my fair share! Here is a little movie of me eating my foods one-by-one - my Meowmie smiles when I eat so a note to all my furrends: THE MORE YOU EAT THE HAPPIER THE BEAN!

PS - the Chinese bowl I am eating from is almost as old as me! Me and Castle usually share it but cos we are on different diets shared feeding times and food sharing is not back on the agenda for another 3 or 4 days. Even though I have to use my paw to eat cos of greedy-pants Castle hogging the bowl, I miss eating with him and will be happier when things are back to normal.

That is a very good thing to make your mom happy!! I too have the same reaction when I actually eat my stinky goodness in the mornings. I'm so thin and the LL gets worried I don't eat enough dry stuff through the day. You are ADORABLE eating your little niblets!

I loved the video! I was trying to eat your food on the screen but it wasn't working so well :( I am already weighing close to 6 pounds and I'm just 5 months old so know one is impressed when I eat but I'm very glad you are taking in some bits!

You are such a graceful eater, Storm! We laffed and laffed at how nicely you pick out each of your crunchies. I stick my head in the bowl and then I look up sometimes and dribbles soggy pieces of kibble, and Momma says it's really gross.

That is so neat how you eat out of that bowl. It's so funny!

I loved watching you eat Storm! You are so beautiful. I eat that was sometimes too, but I'm lazy. I lay by my bowl, scoop out a few crunchies, then eat them lying down.

I am glad that Castle is doing well. Sorry to hear you are still having sick-ups, Storm. My mom is so worried that I might have cancer with the blood in my stool, but the vet thinks it's food-related, so she's trying not to panic.

I don't like to stick my head in a bowl to eat, so my humans have learned to put my food on plates. I like your method too!

I am glad that Castle is doing better. I am also glad that your sick-ups are less frequent. It was pretty sneaky of you to ruin your diet with Castle's food. I hope it didn't make you sick. I hope your lymphoma doesn't come back for a loooooong time. In fact, I hope it never comes back. I am glad that you and your Mum liked your limerick.

I'm sorry you're still having sick-ups Storm. Jemima does that almost every night but we think it's because she eats too fast.

Mom said to be sure to let us know if you go ahead with more chemo. She only had 3 treatments but she said she'll never forget them. We'll purr really hard for you.

I'm glad Castle is feeling better with his new meds. Please take good care of each other!
