Me and my bro, chilling on a Sunday Morning...
Castle has recovered from his allergic reaction, we still don't know what caused it, the only thing that Meowmie could identify was that she had washed the cushion covers and there was a couple of feather cushions with feathers sticking out of them and perhaps they pricked Castle. Or he could have just been stressed about his Vet Place visit the previous day. Or maybe something at the Vet Place caused the allergic reaction, but this is unlikely cos it happened 24hrs after the Vet visit...so basically it remains a mystery!
I've been OK too...after my enema I had three and a half days vomit-free, the longest stretch of time without being sick for months! So it seems my vomitting is definitely a result of a motility issue through my digestive system caused by the chemo and the resultant scarring of my stomach tissues. To help me out, the vet has suggested Meowmie give me lactulose every day, unfortunately I hate it SO MUCH! It is a nasty, sticky, yucky liqiud which gets syringed into my mouth. It is FOUL and VILE. I might enter it into the Halloween contest!!!

I am happy that Castle is over his allergic reaction. And Storm, 3 1/2 days without bomit is great!
Sunday mornings are great, aren't they? I'm so glad you are both doing well. We never really figured out what was wrong with Kavan either, and now he is taking some vile medicine too, hehe..
So he has been sneaking out and visiting my bloggie friends, huh? I'll have to keep a closer eye on him...
Tara
Wow ... Health issues are kind of hit-or-miss, huh? I wish the both of you healthiness and I'm sending good, positive karmic thoughts your way.

I'm so sorry about that yukky medicine you have to take, but I hope it helps!

Wowie, Stormie, that's such superduper news that you went 3 1/2 days without gettin sick! And I'm sorry yur lactulose is so gross, but it sounds like it helps yur tummy. I am also glad to hear that Castle's doin' bettur -- an allerjic reackshun doesn't sound fun at all!
Kittyhugs and purrs from yur furriend MaoMao!
We are glad you are both feeling so much better.
I hope that the icky stuff helps (or not) or maybe there is better stuff that would help? Hmm...
Hey Stoem,I hear ya.Member in my comments the other day I said I need a stool softener? Well I take lactulose! Mom mixes it in with stinky goodness.
I have arthritis in the base of my spine.
Purrs Mickey
You look very pretty Stormie.
It is nice that Castle has improved. Yes, it could be post traumatic vet stress.... lets hope he feels better for good.
I also have to have lactulose... it makes my poops a bit softer. Sometimes I barf because I am clogged up, or just that my pipes are rumbling.... sheesh, we could start an olde kitty club and just talk about our troubles. we all have quite a few now that we are oldsters.
Happy Day
Headbutts, Caesar
Oh yeah: (dementia) mommie puts the required amount of lactulose in about 1/2 teaspoon of gerber beef babyfood
I am glad that Castle is doing better. It really sucks to be sick. I hate it myself.
That's a great picture of you and Castle, Storm. Congratulations on your 3 1/2 days without a sick-up. I'm sorry you hate the lactulose so much, but I hope it helps. I am glad Castle is over his allergic reaction.
Hi Storm,
I'm so glad you and Castle are doing better. I had to take lactulose once
when I was sick and I agree it's nasty.Yet if it will make you well then it worth it :)
P.s I'm putting you on my friends list.
Great picture Storm! Glad to hear you have set a non-vomiting record! I have actually never vomitted ...yet. Does your brother Castle have a bloggie too?
Purrrs,
Tamra
Its great that you have not been getting sick! I hate vile liquids too, there is no point in them really.
Latte
Entering that stuff into the scary contest is a good idea. Mom used to chase Mini around with it sometimes and it sure scared her. I think they switched to spirolactone pills though, and Mini wasn't quite as scared of them. Me, I hid from all of it.
Glad you and Castle are doing good though.
Purrrrrrrs,
your bud Pepi and his crazy sisfurs who are lucky they survived the wild weekend (heheheh)
Sounds like you guys have had a crazy few days! I hopes you all gets feeling better, and not have to take too much of the ucky stuff!!
We're so glad to hear that Castle is doing better after his allergic reaction. And yay for no ralphing for you! Sorry about the yucky medicine, though. That is truly a bummer. :(
You poor thing! Just swallow the yukkie stuff if it helps you! I hope you can stay vomit free, I will send my purrs.
GREAT picture, you guys!
Gawd, let's hope the V-E-T doesn't prescribe frequent enemas for you! Yup, lactulose is sticky and nasty, but it's probably better than enemas!
Luf, Us
I'm so glad Castle is better! An allergic reaction can be very scary even when you know what caused it. It must be terrifying when you don't know!
My Mom said she's sending you lots of sympathetic head smooches 'cuz she's been through the sick-ups caused by digestive problems, mostly from scar tissue because of radiation treatments. When she gets that way we snuggle with her so she'll feel better. I'm really glad you had three and a half days sick-up free!
