My Whiskers Return!

Meowmie was forcing me to pose for photos the other day and she was staring intently at me when she suddenly screeched with delight "Kormie (my nickname, ise explain later) your whickers are making a comeback!" I hadn't really noticed myself cos they aren't exactly massive, but Meowmie said that it was just good to see them again. (As you know, I lost most of them when I had chemo, I was left with four on my right cheek and two on my left cheek). At the moment they are dark and new and not at all long - just sprouting really. Here are some pictures, Meowmie has black-and-whited them so you can see my growth better!

My right cheek:

My left cheek:

Me full frontal - look at those whiskers!!!

Castle! Don't butt in showing off your beautiful whiskers! This is about MY whiskers!!! Cheeky boy!

Now, back to me...My meowmie calls me Kormie cos when I was very young me and Castle were playing Stampeding Elephants and having a mad whizzy half-hour, Ise launched myself off the floor and aimed myself for meowmie's lap - unfortunately there was a plate of Chicken Korma there and I ended up skidding off her plate, flicking Korma all over Meowmie with my scrabbling back legs before I spread Korma footprints across the sitting room and hallway in my bid to escape Castle (and then meowmie!). So Ise got nick-named Korma-Stormer...and this has become Kormie over the years.

PS - Ise like to apologise to the person who landed on my blog whilst Google searching the phrase "I want to meet a furry lady". Ise suspect I'm not quite what you had in mind!

I can't imagine a nicer furry lady to meet Storm! And if they were really looking for someone else--well that's just weird.

Congrats on your whiskers award!

Beans! Sometimes they just aren't too swift inna head!

Kittyhugs and purrs from your furriend MaoMao!

How excellent that your whiskers are makin' a comeback! Charmee an' Puffy play so enthusiastically (read: violently) that they break their whiskers off.

Please do teleport over for a tent war or two. We have paper sacks from shopping that you could enjoy, too ... Although we DO have plenty of available tents!

Mom will have to do a Google search for chicken korma as she has never heard of that dish ... Is it good for eatin' or just spreading around your sitting room?

I am so glad your whiskers are growing back. I take it as a very good sign of health.

Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I am doing my best to stay strong. We are still hoping that my brother and sister-in-law can come home on Tuesday.

I'm glad your whiskers are growing back, Storm, but as a Sphynx who hardly has any whiskers to speak of, I think you looked beautiful without them. :)

Cute story behind your nickname. :)

Hi Storm nice to meet you and Castle. It was very nice of you to drop by and see me on my purrfday and I felt so very special having so many visitors.

I like your blog and will be sure to drop by and read more about you two.

My mum lived in London years ago. She lived in Tooting Broadway and worked in lots of hospitals. She never heard of a ghost called a scratching fanny before, she thought that was kinda funny.
